It has been one year since Joe Biden gifted over seven billion dollars of US military equipment to the Taliban in the abandonment of Afghanistan. The Taliban however, known for their traditionalist sensibilities, are still upset however that this gift, however nice it was meant to be, was not properly gift wrapped for them.
"I mean Joe didn't even leave us a card" noted a disgruntled Taliban etiquette expert, mowing down a dissident in a gifted Humvee, "In a civilized world if you want to give a gift, you wrap it, you'd think it was difficult or something. Many Taliban officials tell us that they just feel hollow when oppressing the Afghan people with the gifted equipment and would rather have just been sent a gift card to fund their armory.
Protests from the Taliban have erupted as the anniversary has brought the sting of this slight back to the front of their minds. Anti American sentiment is at the highest point amongst the Taliban in a year with imagery and signs calling for the end of the United States over the lack of etiquette. One protestor was seen with a sign reading,' When we bring death to America, at least it will be gift wrapped'.
