Due to Stress on Grid, California to Ban Electric Cars by 2025

Hot off the heels of the announcement that California will ban production of gas powered cars after 2035. California has been forced to face the harsh reality that comes with the transition to electric vehicles. Without gas powered cars, the additional strain put on the California energy grid will surpass the energy capabilities of a few windmills.

Gavin Newsom however, has come to the rescue and is introducing a new piece of legislation designed to ensure that Californian's will not overload the grid. Newsom in an announcement on Wednesday is calling for the total ban of all electric cars by 2025. "Frankly it's about time", said Newsom, "These electric vehicles have been sucking away our reserve energy for too long. Once all electric cars are banned in California, we will all have plenty of energy to stick to our approved rations of electricity".

Newsome responded to questions regarding the transportation options of Californians by reminding audience members that if the ban doesn't go into place it won't matter because the climate crisis will kill us all. Sources close to Newsom have reported that he is considering building on this plan with an all out ban on electricity in 2023.
