“At first I was afraid, I was petrified” began the aging president to the surprise of onlookers, “kept thinking I could never live without you by my side”. White House staffers quickly realized that instead of reading the prepared speech, Biden had started reading the televised closed captions of the event music.
“We were taken aback and started scrambling to fix this latest gaffe” reported one staffer, “But then as he went on, we started to really ‘hear’ Joe Biden for the first time. For some reason this time when he told us that he will survive we almost believed him. And the crowded did too”
For four and a half minutes President Biden captivated his audience, informing them that as long as he knows how to love, he knows he’ll stay alive and while several reporters were confused when he told them to “go on now go, walk out the door” and that they were now unwelcome. The President regained eventually the audience, assuring them, that with all his life to live, and all his love to give, he would survive
Sadly the message was marred the following day when, speaking at a former Massachusetts coal mine, he accidentally divulged a diagnosis of cancer.
